On March 14, litigation & enforcement partner María González Calvet will speak on a panel at the IBA’s Mergers and Acquisions in Latin America Conference taking place in Miami.
The panel, “The era of compliance and how this has been dealt with in Latin America,” will examine how the field of compliance in Latin America has evolved, leading to significant regulatory reforms, and increased compliance requirements related to anti-corruption and anti-money laundering. Panelists will address the challenges and opportunities that compliance practices represent for firms in Latin America and explore the key services offered, including due diligence, reputation analysis, integrity system implementation and internal investigations of corruption cases.
