Litigation & enforcement partners Samantha Badlam and Ryan Rohlfsen will speak on panels at the ABA 39th National Institute on White Collar Crime, to be held March 6–8 in San Francisco.
On March 6, Samantha will participate on the panel, “Negotiated Justice: The Difference Between U.S. and European Jurisdictions.” Panelists, including high-ranking European and U.S. enforcement officials, will discuss the current effectiveness and implementation of Defense Priorities and Allocation Systems (DPA) in the United States, France, and Switzerland, the latter not officially authorizing such resolutions.
On March 7, Ryan will take part in the panel, “Show Me the Money! Monetary Sanctions in Corporate Resolutions.” Panelists will discuss the various monetary components of corporate resolutions and explain how to obtain the best results on behalf of a client with respect to penalties, forfeiture, disgorgement, and restitution.
