Finance partner Leonard Klingbaum spoke on a panel on distressed credits at DealCatalyst and the LSTA’s Annual Private Credit Industry Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on May 10.
Leonard and other panelists discussed the perceived level of systemic risk in the private credit ecosystem; asset management at a time of economic uncertainty; managing sponsor and co-lender relationships; evaluating the potential downside of a deteriorating credit portfolio; and assessing the health of underlying assets and liquidity value of a portfolio.
Leonard was joined on the panel by Shuichi Kiyanagi, senior director of asset management for SuMi Trust; Derek Dubois, managing director and treasurer for Deerpath Capital Management; Daniel Leger, managing director of MGG Investments; and Marco Prono, managing director and co-head of direct lending for J.P. Morgan.
