The panel, titled "Key Considerations regarding an Audit Committee/Special Committee Investigation – The Forensic Accountant’s Perspective," will cover the roles of forensic accountants and other forensic investigators in executing internal investigations.
After completing this session, participants will be able to:
- Establish the initial scope and develop the appropriate workplan
- Preserve, collect, and process email and electronic document environments for thorough review
- Assist counsel with the witness interviews of key witnesses on financial and accounting issues
- Perform the detailed accounting analysis required
- Perform independent investigative procedures to identify potential recoveries
- Present work product to counsel and Audit and Special Committees, auditors, and regulators
