On March 23-26, partners Ed McNicholas, Fran Faircloth and Amy Jane Longo will serve as panelists at the 2025 SIFMA Compliance & Legal Seminar.
Fran, a partner in Ropes & Gray’s data, privacy, and cybersecurity practice, will speak on the panel “Keys to the Data Castle: Federal, State and Global Cybersecurity & Privacy Enforcement and Legislative Developments.” Her panel will delve into SEC priorities and enforcement in cybersecurity and privacy and related regulation and legislative trends, broader cybersecurity risks and an analysis of the threat landscape, and privacy as it relates to AI, the CCPA and GDPR.
Amy, a partner in Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement practice group, will present on a panel titled “Surveillance: Effective Compliance Risk Management and Technology Innovation.” The panel will also cover current regulatory expectations, and evolution of tools as they apply to voice and video, off-channel communications, and cross-border and foreign language.
Ed, co-leader of Ropes & Gray's data, privacy and cybersecurity group, will be speaking on the panel “Not If, But When: Preparing for and Managing a Cyber Event.” The panel will address best practices for incident response preparedness, including how to create an effective incident response plan, legal, regulatory and compliance considerations when handling a cyber event, and practical tips for coordinating with internal teams, external partners and law enforcement.
