Hannah England and Nicole Rohr to Present on Panels at 2025 BIO International Convention

Event
June 17, 2025

Life sciences licensing partner Hannah England and life sciences licensing associate Nicole Rohr will present on panels at the 2025 BIO International Convention in Boston.

On June 17, Nicole will speak on the panel “Bridging the Biodata Gap: Revolutionizing AI’s Impact in Biopharma by Creating ‘Digital Twins’ of the Natural World.” While many existing datasets used to create new drugs have depended on the Earth’s genetic biodiversity, they have remained small and unrepresentative. Some biopharmaceutical companies are creating “digital twins” of the natural world at scale in a new approach to biopharma data collection. This has resulted in the design of genomes and proteins with novelty, controllability and improved performance. The panelists will explore the impact of these platforms, from the laboratory to new intellectual property, in bridging the artificial intelligence data gap and how biopharmaceutical drug development is being transformed.

On June 18, Hannah will present on the panel “Structuring Partnerships for Success in Vaccine Development.” The panel will address how companies can partner efficiently for success in developing and commercializing vaccines to protect global health. Topics will include what makes a partnership work in vaccine development? When is the right stage to partner programs? And how to identify strategic partnerships that fit.

In addition, Ropes & Gray will host a Royalty Monetization workshop focused on the European market on June 17, adjacent to the BIO convention, with Hannah and life sciences licensing partners Melissa Rones and Abigail Gregor and mergers & acquisitions partner Matt Byron, along with executives from Avance Life Sciences.

The BIO International Convention includes more than 20,000 industry leaders worldwide from pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology, academia, non-profit organizations and government agencies.
