Health care and higher education counsel Minal Caron will present at the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) 2025 Annual Conference in Seattle on June 25.
Minal will serve as a moderator on the discussion group panel “Navigating Legal Complexities of Faculty Research Abroad: Compliance, Security and Training.” The session will explore the legal and regulatory challenges that academic institutions and their faculty face when conducting research abroad and collaborating with foreign researchers and organizations, in light of increasing regulatory requirements and government scrutiny.
Panel discussion topics include visa and immigration issues, research security, financial support and conflict of interest disclosures, export controls, cybersecurity and data privacy compliance, collaborative research, joint publications and intellectual property rights and protections.
