Ropes & Gray asset management partners Alyssa Horton and Nicole Krea will speak at the 2025 Private Equity International (PEI) Private Funds Compliance Operations Forum in New York November 12-13.
The conference brings together SEC staff and industry advisors to explore how to turn regulatory expectations into effective compliance practices.
Alyssa will participate in the peer insight interactive breakout panel, “AI in Private Funds: Adoption, Compliance, and Lessons Learned.” The panel will explore how private fund advisers are leveraging artificial intelligence, including specific products in use and the challenges faced during onboarding, what has worked well, compliance involvement and key pain points, as well as practical insights for integrating AI into compliance and the advisory business.
Nicole will moderate the plenary session, “From policy to practice: operationalizing today’s most critical compliance rules.” The session will cover how to incorporate key rules into day-to-day workflows, build effective partnerships across compliance, legal, operations, and business teams to ensure aligned execution and ownership, and develop procedures and oversight frameworks that scale across fund structures, geographies, and portfolio companies without losing effectiveness.
