Beth Weinman Presented on Plenary Panel at Food and Drug Law Institute 2025 Enforcement, Litigation, and Compliance Conference

Life sciences regulatory and compliance counsel and former FDA Office of Chief Counsel Enforcement Attorney Beth Weinman presented at the Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) 2025 Enforcement, Litigation, and Compliance Conference in Washington, D.C. on December 4.

In a session titled “FDA Enforcement Today: DOJ Reforms, Adjusted FDA Workforce, and Current Priorities,” a panel including Beth, two former senior U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) officials and a former FDA Deputy Chief of Staff explored the impact on enforcement and enforcement priorities relevant to FDA regulated industry from major changes at the Department of Justice and at FDA.

Panelists addressed the restructuring of DOJ’s Consumer Protection Branch as well as FDA budget cuts, employee terminations and leadership transitions. Panelists also discussed significant recent enforcement actions and practical insights for navigating this evolving landscape.
