Ama Adams and María González Calvet to Host ‘Cafecito’ Roundtable with FTI Consulting on DOJ Focus in Latin America

Ama Adams, co-chair of the national security practice, and María González Calvet, co-chair of the anti-corruption & international risk and Latin America practices, will host a virtual roundtable as part of our Cafecito con Ropes & Gray y FTI Consulting series, with senior leaders from FTI Consulting, including Senior Managing Director José Cortina and Managing Director Gustavo Morales Oliver.

The invite-only conversation will be held on January 27 and will bring together General Counsel and C‑suite leaders to examine the U.S. Department of Justice’s increasing attention on Latin America. Discussion topics will include the business and compliance implications of regional volatility and heightened scrutiny on cartels, transnational criminal organizations, and foreign terrorist organizations.

Drawing on recent, real‑world experiences, the hosts will highlight emerging enforcement trends, practical strategies for managing risk, and approaches to reassessing internal frameworks and investigating allegations.
