Four Ropes & Gray partners will present at the BIO-Europe Spring conference in Lisbon, Portugal on March 24.
Life sciences licensing partners Abby Gregor and David McIntosh will present at the seminar “Adapting to Change: Strategies for Transactions.” The seminar will examine the regulatory, transactional, litigation, and market developments transforming the life sciences industry. Presenters will discuss how changes including the Most-Favored Nation provisions, Inflation Reduction Act and Bulk Data Rule, and financial market volatility, among others, are reshaping transaction structures, diligence and negotiation dynamics. The seminar will also analyze the emerging BIOSECURE framework and its implications for cross-border collaborations, data governance, and compliance strategy.
Mergers and acquisitions partner Matt Byron and life sciences licensing partner Hannah England will present on the panel “Future-Proofing Cross-Border Deals: Strategies for Resilient Transactions.” The panelists will explore strategies to structure cross-border strategic life sciences deals and safeguard value—ranging from change-in-law protections and adaptive regulatory covenants to risk allocation mechanisms that anticipate sanctions, trade controls, and supply chain disruption. The panelists will provide insights on drafting resilient collaboration, licensing and M&A agreements that can withstand uncertainty and preserve flexibility.
BIO-Europe Spring is Europe’s largest biotechnology partnering, licensing and business development event, including more than 3,700 life sciences industry executives.
