Ropes & Gray Co-Hosting Webinar Series on Compliance for Early-Stage Companies

Event
April 21, 2026

On April 15, Ropes & Gray and FRA hosted the first installment of the Investor-Ready: Growth and Governance Series, a three-part webinar series designed for founders, senior leaders, and operational teams at early-stage companies. The series brings together legal, regulatory, forensic, behavioral, and cultural experts to break down what "good" looks like when it comes to compliance at the early stage.

Part 1, "Laying the Foundations," explored why early-stage companies should prioritize compliance, how governance frameworks affect discussions with investors and financing parties, how to protect company valuation, and what proportionate compliance looks like at this stage. The session featured co-leader of the Insights Lab, and co-head of the anti-corruption and international risk and crisis management & investigations practice Amanda Raad, venture capital and emerging company counsel David Dowling, and director of behavioral insights Nitish Upadhyaya, alongside Sharon Hall of Forensic Risk Alliance.

Parts 2 and 3 of the series will take place on May 27 and July 8, respectively. Part 2 will see the launch of our free health check survey, the output of which will provide a high-level risk assessment and roadmap for building controls relevant to your business. If you are interested in joining a future session, please contact any of the speakers listed above.
