Litigation & enforcement partner Amy Kossak will moderate the Federal Bar Association (FBA) Qui Tam Section's virtual program, "Ethical & Practical Insights from Former FCA Prosecutors in Private Practice," on October 14.
Amy will lead a discussion with a panel of fellow former government attorneys who recently went in-house or joined the relator's or defense bar. Drawing on her decade of first-hand experience at the U.S. Department of Justice investigating and litigating FCA cases, she will share insights useful both to lawyers who recently left the DOJ or a U.S. Attorney's Office and to practitioners advising clients on FCA matters.
The conversation will cover how recent government departees can navigate conflicts, confidentiality obligations, matter restrictions, and client or firm expectations. The panel will also address how former DOJ and USAO attorneys can interact most effectively with clients, relators' counsel, defense counsel, and the government, along with practical strategies for engaging with government counsel.
