Ropes & Gray Finance Partners to Speak at 32nd Annual LSEG Middle Market & Large Corporate Loans Conference

Finance partners Eliza Hollander and Allison Liff will speak at the 32nd Annual LSEG Middle Market & Large Corporate Loans Conference on Thursday, Oct. 29 at Convene 360 Madison in New York.

Eliza and Allison will co-moderate the “Navigating (di)stress in the software sector” panel and will be joined by Bilal Bazzy (Piper Sandler), Fran Blair (PSP Investments) and Anne Russ (STG).

Speakers will discuss the state of play in the software sector after more than a year of the "SaaSpocalypse" and the credit stress it has caused across the sector. They will cover how to protect enterprise value when a business's most important assets are highly mobile, and how to plan a capital structure proactively when rates are rising and multiples are compressed. The panel will also look at the early warning signs of stress and distress in a software business and the unusual valuation and collateral challenges these companies present. Finally, speakers will explore how intellectual property can be used as a strategic lever, including in liability management transactions.

Additional conference panels will focus on private equity finance, liability management, middle-market lending, software and technology financing, and direct lending versus BSL execution.
