Ropes & Gray represented a coalition of investors including General Catalyst Venture Partners in a $20 million investment in Black Duck Software, a Burlington, Mass.-based open source software firm. The funding round, which closed on Aug. 14, will assist in the expansion of Black Duck’s global go-to-market model to meet the needs of its customer base.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by mergers & acquisitions partner Jane Goldstein (Boston/New York) and included private equity associates Sarah Schaffer Raux (Boston).
