Ropes & Gray advised Immucor in its investment in Palo Alto, Calif.-based Sirona Genomics. Under the terms of the deal, which was announced October 3, Immucor will provide funding to support the commercialization of Sirona’s human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing sample preparation and bioinformatics offering using next generation sequencing instruments. Immucor, a TPG portfolio company, is a leader in the transfusion and transplantation diagnostics industry. Financial terms were not disclosed.
