International law firm Ropes & Gray has advised Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) on its investment in Blackrock Programme Management (Blackrock PM), a UK-headquartered professional services firm that provides construction consulting and expert witness services for large, international construction and engineering projects.
The deal, which has announced today, involved the £161.5m sale of Blackrock PM from UK private equity firm Dunedin to its management team, with ICG providing both debt and equity financial support.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Helen Croke. Other members of the team included finance counsel Alex Robb.
It is the second deal that Ropes & Gray has advised ICG on in recent weeks. In June 2017, the firm advised ICG on the $5.3bn consortium buyout of Visma, Europe's largest ever software buyout.
