A recent Bloomberg Law article noted that “Ropes & Gray is extending its commitment to the transformative nature of artificial intelligence” as it brings on Gretchen Greene as its first chief of AI strategy.
Gretchen and policy committee member Jane Rogers spoke about Gretchen's appointment to the new role, with Jane remarking that “Gretchen is a proven AI innovator,” and that she will “work with firm leadership to really accelerate innovation and client impact.”
A former senior privacy and public policy manager at Meta and former Ropes & Gray associate, Gretchen will partner with Chief Information Officer Marsha Stein and firm leadership to accelerate AI adoption across practices and business functions.
The article also noted that Ropes & Gray has been an “enthusiastic” AI adopter and innovator, including by creating the TrAIlblazers program, which allows first‑year associates to devote 20% of their billable time to AI training and experimentation.
