Ropes & Gray represented Weather Group, and its majority equity holders Bain Capital and The Blackstone Group, in the sale of its company to Entertainment Studios, Inc., one of the largest independent producers and distributors of film and television. The transaction was announced on March 22.

The Weather Channel has provided the most comprehensive analysis of any media outlet and serves as the nation’s only 24-hour source of national storm coverage.
