Intellectual property attorneys spoke July 25 – 26 at the World Congress 15th Annual Summit on Protecting Innovations in the Financial Services Industry in New York.
IP transactions partner Edward Kelly and counsel Regina Penti (both of Boston) joined a panel that included senior counsel from the Bank of Montreal and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation to discuss “Identifying Opportunities for Partnering with FinTech Companies.” The panel examined the risks, opportunities, and strategies for financial services institutions seeking to partner with Fintech firms, including strategies for managing the changing role and nature of intellectual property in Fintech collaborations and acquisitions.
