Ropes & Gray advised AVALT, a family office that makes direct private equity investments, in the purchase of Ned Stevens, a leading provider of residential gutter cleaning and essential exterior home services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ned Stevens was founded in 1965 and provides gutter cleaning, soft wash and other related, non-discretionary residential services in 15 states.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partners Charles Boer and Newcomb Stillwell (both of Boston). It included private equity associate Dan Cowan (Boston), finance partner Alex Zeltser (New York), benefits partner Jennifer Rikoski, tax partner Pam Glazier, real estate partner Peter Alpert and labor & employment senior counsel David Mandel (all of Boston).
