Ropes & Gray is representing SC Health Corp. in its proposed merger with Rockley Photonics, Ltd announced on 19 March 2021. The transaction will result in Rockley becoming a publicly traded company on the NYSE under the symbol RKLY and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.
SC Health Corp is a publicly traded special purpose acquisitions company incorporated in the Cayman Islands. Rockley is a leading integrated photonics chipset developer and module supplier for high-volume sensor and communication products formed in 2013 and led by Dr. Andrew Rickman, founder of the first commercial silicon photonics company, Bookham Technology. Ropes & Gray also represented SC Health Corp in its $172.5 million IPO.
