Ropes & Gray represented Advent Technologies Holdings, Inc. in its agreement to acquire the fuel cell systems business of the fischer Group. These businesses include Serenergy A/S based in Aalborg, Denmark, and fischer eco solutions GmbH based in Achern, Germany. The deal was announced on June 25. The press release is here.
Advent Technologies develops, manufactures and assembles critical components for fuel cells and advanced energy systems in the renewable energy sector, and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. The fischer group is among the world's leading suppliers of longitudinally welded stainless steel tubes with locations in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Canada, the USA, Mexico, Uruguay, South Africa, and China.
