Ropes & Gray has advised Bridgepoint, the international private assets fund management group, on its acquisition of Achilles, a global leader and partner of choice for supply chain risk and performance management. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Over the past decade supply chain risk management has increased in complexity due to numerous environmental, social, and economic drivers. Issues such as sustainability, modern slavery and equality, diversity and inclusion, as well the increased risk of sophisticated cyber-attacks have changed the way in which supply chains need to be managed: Achilles’ solutions enable customers to mitigate risk and make informed business decisions for their supply chains.
The acquisition marks a new chapter for Achilles. Partnering with Bridgepoint will give Achilles access to the capital and expertise to significantly expand the solution set, both organically and through M&A, delivering new capabilities around key focus areas like ESG, CSR, EDI, Health and Safety, and supply chain mapping, all of which are critical customer needs.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity transactions partner Helen Croke, alongside private equity transactions associate Nick Matthew. Other members of the team included private equity transactions counsel Shona Ha and associates Lucy Taylor and George Taylor and finance partner Alex Robb, antitrust partner Ruchit Patel, antitrust associate Anna Pugh and tax partner Brenda Coleman. All are based in London.
