Ropes & Gray advised Tidal Wave Auto Spa, a Golden Gate Capital portfolio company, in its acquisition of W4 Express Wash. The acquisition of W4 Express Wash brings the total number of Tidal Wave Auto Spas to 87. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction was announced on Dec. 13 in a press release.
Tidal Wave Auto Spa, based in Thomaston, Georgia, is one of the fastest growing car wash chains in the United States. Golden Gate Capital is a San Francisco-based private equity investment firm with over $19 billion in cumulative committed capital.
