Ropes & Gray represented Audax Private Equity in its strategic investment in Veterinary Practice Partners, a leading veterinary practice management group and portfolio company of Pamlico Capital. The transaction closed on Dec. 1 and was made public on Dec. 6 in a press release.

Since its founding in 1999, the firm has raised over $30 billion in capital across its Private Equity and Private Debt businesses. Veterinary Practice Partners co-owns more than 60 practices in partnership with veterinarians in 20 states.
The team that represented Audax Private Equity was led by private equity partners Chau Le (San Francisco) and Ken Chow (Boston) and private equity associate Reed Harasimowicz (San Francisco), and included leveraged finance partners Greg Bauer (Chicago) and Michael Lee (Boston) and IP transactions counsel Thomas Burke (New York).
