Ropes & Gray represented Audax Private Equity in the sale of WellSpring Consumer Healthcare to Avista Healthcare Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction was announced on Aug. 23 in a press release.
WellSpring Pharmaceutical Corporation is a privately-held company focused on the development and marketing of consumer healthcare products. Audax Group, an alternative investment manager with offices in Boston, New York, and San Francisco, has raised over $30 billion in capital across its Private Equity and Private Debt businesses since its founding in 1999.
The Ropes & Gray team that advised Audax Group was led by private equity partner Adam Leamon and included benefits partners Matthew Jones, Meg Bisk and Jennifer Rikoski, health care partner Debbie Gersh and leveraged finance partner Michael Lee.
