Litigation & enforcement partner Amy Jane Longo and associate Brooke Cohen co-authored a chapter for Practical Law Journal titled, “SEC Remedies Litigation.” The chapter discusses the types of remedies the U.S. Securities and Exchange commission can seek in enforcement actions, and examines the methods for determining remedies for injunctive relief; monetary relief, and other forms of non-monetary equitable relief.
The authors note, “the significant consequences of an SEC enforcement action serve to highlight the importance for counsel to defend such investigations or litigation with full command of potential defenses to the remedies sought.”
