In a Sourcing Journal article, Michael Littenberg, global head of the firm’s ESG, CSR and business and human rights practice, discussed the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission voluntarily staying its recently adopted climate disclosure rules pending the completion of judicial review by the Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
“I don’t think investors are going to feel constrained by the SEC Rule, but with the delay in the rule or even potentially the rule getting overturned, I think we are going to see some institutional investors being more proactive in their requests for climate related disclosures,” said Michael.
