Continuing a longstanding tradition that showcases Ropes & Gray’s United in the Fight Against Cancer commitment, a team of firm attorneys and support team members participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) on Aug. 3 and 4, raising money for cancer research and treatment. Cycling up to 186 miles across Massachusetts, the 29-person, cross-office team raised more than $200,000 to support the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, making the Ropes & Gray team one of this year’s leading fundraisers.

Over more than 20 years, Ropes & Gray has raised more than $3 million to support Dana-Farber through the PMC, which has now raised more than $1 billion for Dana-Farber over the PMC’s 45-year history. This year, the firm team started a new tradition, carrying a Ropes & Gray banner on which colleagues had been invited to write the names of those in whose memory they would like the team to ride.

This year’s firm team included: Abigail AlfaroMichael Allen, John Ames, Paul Armstrong, Leo ArnaboldiJeffrey BasharaGregory BauerStefanie BirkmannEdward Black, Michael BoussyDouglas BrayleyJohn Bueker, Jayne Costello (Team Coordinator), Josh DeMeloGraham Foster, Donna FrankelRichard Gauthier, Taylor HartKeith HigginsRyan McCaffrey (Team Vice Captain), Mark MorrisonDan O'ConnorMatthew RichardsAl RoseWilliam ShefelmanGlenda Watson (Volunteer Captain), Patrick WelshChristian Westra (Team Captain) and Marko Zatylny.
