Ropes & Gray advised Nippon Steel Corporation in a finalized partnership with United States Steel corporation, announced in a June 18 press release.
Together Nippon Steel and U. S. Steel form a world-leading steelmaker, with best-in-class technologies and manufacturing capabilities. The deal protects and creates more than 100,000 jobs and ensures that U. S. Steel will retain its name and headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
