The guidance seeks to address this gap by providing a unified and comprehensive healthcare-focused framework. The authors explain that to responsibly harness AI's potential while protecting patients and building trust, health care organizations should consider establishing AI governance structures and developing comprehensive policies for AI implementation and use in accordance with the guidance's framework.
