Ropes & Gray congratulates Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall on the well-deserved recognition of the Boston Bar Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Justice Marshall is receiving the award in recognition of her historic tenure leading the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and her authorship of landmark opinions, including the 2003 Goodridge v. Department of Public Health decision
The Spirit of the Bar, formerly known as the BBA Annual Meeting, will be held on Thursday, October 30 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Litigation & enforcement partners John Bueker, Jim Dowden, Rob Roberts, Sarah Walters, and retired partner Brien O’Connor will be in attendance. Jim is serving on the event’s steering committee.
The Spirit of the Bar celebrates the shared values that define the profession: service, leadership, inclusion, and community. The event convenes leaders across Boston’s legal community for a networking reception, seated dinner, and a program of remarks spotlighting lawyers whose work strengthens the community and exemplifies the best of the profession.
