Ropes & Gray has advised Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry (acting on behalf of its clients), on its co-lead investment in a $835 million single-asset continuation vehicle managed by private markets asset manager 7RIDGE.
The continuation vehicle was established to provide Trading Technologies International, Inc. with additional capital to support its next phase of growth, alongside the recent co-control stake acquired in the company by Thoma Bravo. Trading Technologies International is a global capital markets platform services company providing market-leading technology for the end-to-end trading operations of financial institutions such as banks money managers, hedge funds, proprietary traders and risk managers.
This transaction follows Partners Group’s recent colead investment in a continuation vehicle for global Internet of Things platform Wireless Logic, which Ropes & Gray also advised on.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by asset management partners Tom Alabaster and Chris Townsend, and private equity partner John Newton, with support from asset management associates Madalina Asandului and Alistair Renton, private equity associates Hayley Stokes-White and Melissa Vance, trainee Micheal Onyekuru, and paralegal Socrates Koutsoulidakis.
