In a recent Legaltech News article, real estate partner Sally Davis and counsel Pete Scherer describe how Ropes & Gray’s real estate practice is using generative AI to boost productivity and deepen collaboration across the firm and with clients.
“We have the AI tool that's highly customized to automatically produce the initial draft of this very tailored abstract process, and then there's a discussion with the client about what level of human fine-tuning they want and quality checking,” said Pete.
The practice has deployed AI to streamline workflows, manage contracts, and develop training and prompt templates. Close vendor partnerships and embedded legal tech professionals on deal teams are accelerating the rollout and improving speed, quality, and consistency.
“The role of the legal tech team and the legal tech professionals is only going to continue to grow and become more enmeshed in the work that we do,” Sally said.
