Ropes & Gray has advised dermatology category leader Galderma on the antitrust and foreign direct investment aspects of the acquisition by L’Oreal of an increased equity investment in Galderma.
Through the transaction, L’Oréal recognizes Galderma’s scientific leadership in dermatology and long-term growth potential. Following the transaction, which is subject to customary approvals, L’Oréal’s total shareholding in Galderma will rise to 20%, building on its initial investment made in August 2024.
The team was led by antitrust partner Ruchit Patel with support from partner Jonathan Klarfeld and associates Katherine Fielding and Katie Gerasimidis.
