Ropes & Gray represented Advent International as co-lead investor in defense technology company Shield AI’s $1.5 billion Series G financing round which values the company at $12.7 billion. The Series G was co-led by the Strategic Investment Group of JPMorganChase’s Security and Resiliency Initiative, with participation from existing investors Snowpoint Ventures, InnovationX, Riot Ventures, Disruptive, Apandion, and others. The investment was announced on March 26 and is part of Advent’s commitment to invest up to $1 billion in next-generation defense companies.
