In a Law360 article, capital markets partner Tom Danielski discussed the factors driving the anticipated growth in biotechnology and life sciences initial public offerings (IPOs).
Tom explained that public market investors want to see a well-funded company with strong data from mid- to late-stage clinical trials before they go public.
Tom notes that the life sciences companies he is working with that are planning to go public have raised several funding rounds in recent years. Some are looking to raise another round ahead of a potential IPO just to ensure they have a solid cash balance going into the public markets.
