Ropes & Gray represented Sanofi Ventures in connection with its investment in Bionyra Pharma’s record-breaking $165 million Series A financing.
Bionyra Pharma is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing next-generation biologics for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. The financing marks a record for a French biotech and one of the largest Series A financings globally for a company dedicated to human health.
The round was co-led by Jeito Capital and Sofinnova Partners, with participation from Arkin Bio, Sanofi Ventures, Sixty Degree Capital, Vives Partners and Apollo Health Ventures.
The Ropes & Gray team included private equity counsel Raphaël Durand, private equity partner Emmanuel Mimin, and venture capital and emerging companies partner Rajarshi Banerjee.
