Litigation & enforcement partner Amy Jane Longo has been installed as president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Before being elected president, Amy served on the chapter’s executive committee and its board.

Amy has over 30 years of experience in securities litigation, including significant first-chair experience both as defense counsel and as a senior SEC trial attorney. Before joining Ropes & Gray as a founding partner of its Los Angeles office in 2022, Amy spent nearly five years as Regional Trial Counsel for the SEC's Los Angeles Regional Office. In that role she oversaw all of the office's litigation in federal district court and SEC administrative proceedings, from pre-filing through trial or resolution. Amy serves as the managing partner of Ropes & Gray’s Los Angeles office.

Chartered in 1937, the Los Angeles Chapter is one of the oldest and largest chapters in the national FBA, and it will observe its 90th anniversary in 2027. The chapter connects the federal bench, the bar and the public on matters important to the legal community. Its members include judges of the Central District of California, civil, regulatory and criminal practitioners, and attorneys from firms of all sizes. The chapter runs pro bono initiatives, public outreach and CLE programming, and it hosts events featuring district judges.
