Crain’s Chicago Business honored health care partner and co-chair Deborah Gersh, asset management partner and managing partner of the Chicago office Paulita Pike and leveraged finance partner Nichole Lopez-Tackett as 2024 “Notable Women in Law.” The list recognizes groundbreaking women attorneys, who have established themselves as leaders in their respective practice areas and are serving as mentors to other women lawyers.
Deborah was selected for handling matters involving online data tracking technologies and work on the complex issue of contact tracing, advising Northwestern Memorial downtown campus on the phased re-opening of its multi-facility services building campus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paulita was chosen for her leadership of the Chicago office and in part for her work on Defined Outcome ETFs, which she helped to pioneer, and now have total assets under management of $26.80 billion.
Nichole was recognized for advising on more than $12 billion in closed transaction since joining Ropes & Gray in 2021 and strengthening the firm’s reputation and Chicago presence, advising key clients like The Vistria Group. She also led a team that secured financing for H.I.G. Capital in its $950 million carve-out acquisition of Avient’s distribution business that was honored with Mergers & Acquisitions “Middle Market Deal of the Year 2023.”
