Litigation & enforcement partner María González Calvet and asset management partner Matt Posthuma have been named to Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers of 2024 by Latinvex. This is the fifth year in a row Ropes & Gray attorneys have been recognized for their presence and work in Latin America. Matt was named to the capital markets category while Maria was named for her work in FCPA & fraud.
This achievement builds upon recent recognition for the firm’s presence in Latin America including The Legal 500 Latin America and Chambers Latin America, which ranked Ropes & Gray as a leading international firm in Corporate, M&A, and Corporate Crime and Investigations. Additionally, María was named to Latinvex’s list of Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyers for a fourth time in late 2023.
In compiling its list of top attorneys, Latinvex evaluates an attorney’s recent track record handling major matters, prominence in Latin America, and recognition from third parties, including Chambers and Legal 500.
Ropes & Gray is actively involved in some of Latin America’s largest investigations and deals; routinely conducts pre- and post-acquisition anti-corruption diligence for portfolio company targets; and serves as the primary anti-corruption counsel for several large, multinational corporations.
