Ropes & Gray private equity transactions partner Victoria McGrath has been named by Law.com International as one of the UK legal industry's most outstanding up-and-coming female lawyers.
Victoria’s inclusion in the ranking, which was published to mark International Women's Day 2024, was based on a range of criteria including the quality of her client base, the scale and complexity of her deals, her market reputation and client feedback.
The ranking noted her 15 years of experience advising a range of UK and international private equity investors, including Advent International, American Industrial Partners, Partners Group and TPG Capital and praised her “can-do attitude and understanding of both legal details and commercial drivers in transactions”.
Recent deals that Victoria has advised on include advising Advent International and its portfolio company NIQ on the strategic combination with GfK (resulting in the world's leading consumer intelligence company) and the associated divestment of GfK's consumer panel business to YouGov.
In 2020, Victoria was recognised by Law.com International as a rising star of the private equity legal industry.
