Litigation & enforcement senior attorney Irina Sivachenko traveled to Ecuador earlier this year with International Senior Lawyers Project (ISLP) to lead a multi-day series of workshops, trainings and meetings. For this pro bono project, they traveled to Quito and Cuenca and presented on topics of compliance, anti-corruption regulation and economic development to leaders from government, academia, private industry, lawyers and judges—all in Spanish, a third language for both of them.

In preparing to lead the multiple days of workshops, Irina explained that she realized new ways that her legal work in anti-corruption compliance can provide practical examples of how corporations have leveraged their resources in nonpartisan ways to increase democratic inclusion and participation.
