Private equity partner Chau Le and IP transactions counsel Georgina Jones Suzuki have been recognized by The Recorder for their achievements and leadership in their respective practices. The Recorder announced the finalists and honorees for the annual California Legal Awards on April 23.
Chau is a finalist in the “Dealmakers of the Year” category. She has steered some of the firm’s most complex and innovative transactions for private equity clients, including in 2024 alone, Advent International’s investment in Prometheus Group, Audax Group’s carve-out acquisition of Resonant Clinical Solutions, Genstar Capital’s investment in AffiniPay, and TPG Capital’s agreement to acquire AT&T’s stake DIRECTV.
Georgina is an honoree in the “Women Leaders in Tech Law - Intellectual Property” category. She guides clients working at the intersection of life sciences and technology and led the team advising on the IP aspects for Eli Lilly’s $2.5 billion acquisition of Scorpion Therapeutics’ PI3Kα inhibitor program.
Winners will be announced on June 25 at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
