Intellectual property transactions partner Erica Han was named a 2025 “Go To Intellectual Property Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. This special feature recognizes lawyers in Massachusetts whose experience, accomplishments and demonstrated leadership have made them standouts in IP law.
Erica was selected for her experience advising on complex deals involving brands and consumer products, ongoing brand strategy, and other intellectual property matters, including representing Sodiaal in acquiring General Mills’ Canadian yogurt business; National Amusements in selling the company and majority Paramount voting stock to Ellison Family/RedBird Capital for $2.4 billion; Hershey in acquiring Sour Strips; and Simple Mills in its $795 million sale to Flowers Foods.
In her profile, Erica discussed how the continued evolution of generative AI will impact IP lawyers, saying “as generative AI tools become more effective at routine tasks, clients will emphasize the creative problem-solving and real-world experience that IP lawyers bring to transactions. IP specialists must actively build relationships and remain flexible through unpredictable situations.”
