Law360 has named health care partner Adrianne Ortega, life sciences partner Abby Gregor, and private equity partner Chau Le as 2025 MVPs in the Health Care, Life Sciences, and Private Equity categories, respectively. The annual list recognizes attorneys who’ve distinguish themselves through significant achievements in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters, and record-breaking deals.
Adrianne Ortega has led several of the nation’s most significant and innovative health care transactions. Notably, she served as health care regulatory counsel to Walgreens Boots Alliance in its $23.7 billion take-private acquisition by Sycamore Partners, one of the largest take-private transactions of the decade, and she advised Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on its groundbreaking collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to advance the future of cancer care and build Boston’s only independent, free-standing adult cancer hospital.
Abby Gregor advises many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and life sciences–focused private equity companies. Her recent work includes representing Bain Capital on the creation of a newly formed company launched with five immunology assets in-licensed from Bristol Myers Squibb and a $300 million financing commitment led by Bain Capital, and AbbVie on its acquisition of cell therapy developer Capstan Therapeutics in a deal worth up to $2.1 billion to expand its pipeline with therapies for autoimmune diseases.
Chau Le has led some of the firm’s most complex and innovative transactions, including 11 private equity deals over the past year with a value of $17.7 billion. She advised TPG Capital in its acquisition of AT&T’s 70% stake in DIRECTV for $7.6 billion and guided Genstar Capital through several transactions, including its investments in Affinipay, Flourish Research, and Aperture.
