Steve Braga, Chris Conniff, and Mark Popofsky Explore FCPA/AT Interface in Competition Policy International
Government enforcement partners Steve Braga and Chris Conniff, and antirust chair Mark Popofsky, recently co-authored an article for Competition Policy International entitled “The Anticorruption and Antitrust Interface.” The article is divided into 4 sections and explains how government cartel investigations can turn into FCPA investigations (and vice versa), how plaintiffs seek to recover for FCPA violations through the antitrust laws, and best practices in developing and strengthening compliance policies. In the conclusion the authors write, “With an increasingly interconnected global economy, and DOJ’s continued focus on enforcement of both legal regimes, we can expect more examples of the intersection of antitrust and anticorruption in the years to come.”
