Ropes & Gray Team’s Representation of Stryker Biotech Featured in The Champion Magazine
An article in the September/October 2012 issue of the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Champion magazine featured Ropes & Gray’s representation of client Stryker Biotech. The article highlighted Brien O’Connor’s opening statement and commented on its “fast and furious effect.” The article continued, “In less than 24 hours—before the government finished with the direct examination of its first witness—the government folded its tent, dropped all 13 felony charges against the company, accepted a meager fine by contemporary enforcement standards and a misdemeanor plea by the company, and set all of the individuals free.”
The Boston-based Ropes & Gray government enforcement team that handled the Stryker case was led by partners Brien O’Connor and Josh Levy and included associates Aaron Katz, Patrick Welsh and Eugene Morgulis, with special assistance provided by Holly Caldwell.
