Ropes & Gray Named Law360“Appellate Group of the Year”

Law360 has honored Ropes & Gray with an “Appellate Group of the Year” award, recognizing the firm’s “impressive streak of appellate victories” in 2015. Of those achievements, Law360 writes that none was “more important than the High Court's June ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, which established marriage equality as the law of the land.”

Law360 editors also recognized the firm’s significant Supreme Court win in Bullard v. Blue Hills Bank, an important bankruptcy ruling in which the Supreme Court unanimously agreed with Ropes & Gray’s argument that debtors don't have an absolute right to appeal the denial of a proposed bankruptcy plan.

Individually, appellate & Supreme Court litigation partner Douglas Hallward-Driemeier has also been recognized as a Law360 Appellate MVP for 2015 for his work on Obergefell and Blue Hills Bank as well as for a number of victories for clients in appellate cases.
